My first St. Louis Tap Festival, with so many of my old teacher’s friends!
Kristen the Ballerina
Incredibly, I will be starting to teach ballet to adults in April of 2018. I was fortunate enough to meet Julie Gill, owner of Broche Ballet, who is slowly shaping me into a ballerina and ballet teacher. I am beginning to see that there was a ballerina inside me all along, but people couldn't see it because I was inflexible and ungraceful and 6'2"!
First year at the Big Apple Tap Festival. This photograph was taken 10 hours after I decided to quit my job as a high school history teacher and become at tap dancing, quilting, writer. You'll notice that I've got a pretty big smile on!
Year two at the Big Apple. Loving the experience, but still drowning in classes. Boy, does it teach humility to suck so hard around people who actually know what they are doing!
Year three at Big Apple! For the first time I felt like I had any business being here! I mostly kept up and learned so much--mostly that I've learned so much in the past year!
On stage doing the Shim Sham with the entire Big Apple Tap Festival crowd. I'm the tall one. In the back. As usual.
The first annual Rocky Mountain Percussive Dance Festival. Hands-down the most incredible 3 days of my life. Tap, flatfooting, and body percussion is a trifecta of fun--and I was introduced to Nic Gareiss, my new favorite dancer.
Roshni's Cham Cham dance. Dancing in the park at the Aurora Police Department's Meet the Community Picnic. Love all these colors!
Roshni performing at the Aurora Arts Fest. Claire and I certainly do have fun together, and I LOVE getting to wear pretty dresses with bling!

Teaching at Cherry Creek Dance. I was Jacob's sub, and then was hired after he left for the Marines. I did the kids classes for a while, but realized I needed to stick with just adults until the PTSD of teaching wears off...
Teaching Thursday night advanced tap at Cherry Creek Dance.
Tappy Feet's booth at the Denver Minority Chamber of Commerce Business Expo. Possibly the first time anyone has ever tap danced at a Business Expo?
Tappy Feet's booth at a 55+ Retirement Home Health Expo. Hoped to get a class off the ground there, but it hasn't happened yet...
Tappy Feet's Tap Step Card Deck
We are so proud of this first product! So much fun playing card games and learning tap steps at the same time! (mytappyfeet.com/store)
